Please see below information about the new opening and closing times for Children’s A&E at South Tyneside District Hospital.
Could all samples and specimens please be handed in no later than 12 noon this is to ensure that they can all get to the labs via the courier by a certain time.
Please note if a sample is handed in after this time it may be rejected and you may be asked to repeat this for the next working day.

Opening Times from 1st July 2019
Monday 8.00am – 6.00pm
Tuesday 8.00am – 6.00pm
Wednesday 7.00am – 6.00pm
Thursday 7.00am – 2.00pm (Surgery is closed but phone lines remain open until 18:00pm)
Friday 8.00am – 6.00pm
We also offer extended weekend hours on a Saturday and 2 Sundays a month

Please note we no longer close for lunch

Every day of the year 24/7 you can access the ‘Urgent Care Hub’ at South Tyneside Hospital (this is the relocation of Jarrow Walk In Centre). You do not need an appointment.
Pharmacy– you can call into your local late night open pharmacy who may be able to offer advice or recommend treatment.
